ISTANBUL - Investment Consultative Council meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, started on Monday. High level administrators of multinational companies join the meeting.
Prime Minister Erdogan, World Bank President James Wolfensohn and International Monetary Fund (IMF) Europe Department Director Michael Deppler are expected to deliver speeches at the opening of the meeting.
''Comparison of Turkey with other countries as an investment place'', and ''how do the multinational companies evaluate the current situation and future potential of Turkey'' are expected to be discussed in the morning session of the meeting.
''Evaluation of current practices'', ''betterment of investment atmosphere in Turkey,'' ''determination of priorities'', ''determination of an action plan'', and ''negotiation of measures'' are expected to be discussed in the afternoon session.
Erdogan is expected to hold a news conference after the meeting together with the members which the Council will determine.
