ISTANBUL - State Minister Ali Babacan said on Monday that Turkey would be a country which would offer easier investment opportunities each passing day.
Following his meeting with high-level administrators of multi-national companies in Istanbul, Babacan told reporters that Turkey had recorded significant progress in political and economic stability.
Babacan said that a good investment environment had been established in Turkey.
They would work to lift bureaucratic and similar obstacles before investors from now on, Babacan stressed.
Babacan noted that amendments would be made in regulations to lift the obstacles.
Participants would evaluate investment environment in Turkey and compare it with that in other countries in the morning session of the Meeting of Investment Consultative Council held in Istanbul, Babacan pointed out.
Babacan said that foreign businessmen would express views about steps to be taken to improve investment environment in Turkey in the afternoon session.
Underlining that the biggest social problem in Turkey was unemployment, Babacan said that this problem could be solved as private investments increased.
Babacan noted that they wanted to increase not only national, but also foreign capital in Turkey and such meetings would be held once or twice a year.
