ISTANBUL - Number of people, who were detained in connection with the bomb attack on the Free and Accepted Masons Grand Lodge Association in Kartal district of Istanbul, increased to fifteen.
Sources told the A.A correspondent on Saturday that security forces detained six more people under the investigation into the attack.
It was revealed that two of them had received military training abroad, and they had been in Afghanistan for a while.
Recalling that it was proven that one of the guns found in the scene of the attack had been used in murder of dentist Yasef Kahya last year, sources said that it was not proven whether Nihat Dogruel and Engin Vural, the two terrorists who staged the attack, had been involved in murder of the dentist.
Meanwhile, Istanbul State Security Court (DGM) has given additional time for interrogation of the detainees.
Two suicide bombers struck at the association building on March 9. One killed himself while the other failed to set off his explosives. In the attack, a person was killed and several others were injured.
