CAIRO - Turkish companies have taken part at Textile and Leather Industry Fair in Egyptian capital Cairo.
Sources told the A.A correspondent on Saturday that 19 Turkish firms took part at the 32nd Cairo Fashion Show, Textile and Leather Industry Fair, which was organized at the International Conference Hall between March 11 and 14, 2004.
While ten Turkish companies have been displaying their textile products, nine Turkish companies have taken part in the leather part of the fair.
Meanwhile, Mehmet Saracoglu of the Dincerler Textile company of Turkey said that although they got visa from the Egyptian Embassy in Ankara, they were kept at the Cairo Airport for two and half hours.
Noting that they condemned the treatment of Turkish citizens by Egyptian airport officials, Saracoglu called on Turkish authorities to launch necessary initiatives in Egypt.
