ANKARA - Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Talat said on Thursday that quartet meetings to take place between two sides in Cyprus with participation of Turkey and Greece would start in a small town between Zurich and Bern cities of Switzerland on March 24.
Cyprus negotiations started on February 19 between TRNC and Greek Cypriot side to find a fair and lasting solution to Cyprus issue on the basis of United Nations (U.N.) Secretary General Kofi Annan's plan till May 1.
Following his meeting with Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul, Talat told reporters that negotiations that took place between two sides in the island would end on March 22.
Talat said that the quartet meetings attended also by Turkey and Greece as a part of the Cyprus talks process would start on March 24.
TRNC also supported Turkey's wish to hold quartet meetings in the highest level, Talat noted.
Talat stated that they wanted to hold those meetings in the level of prime ministers.
Meanwhile, sources said that quartet meetings would be held in Luzern, Switzerland.
