ANKARA - Foreign exchange deposit accounts at banks with letter of credit and super foreign exchange accounts decreased 701 million U.S. dollars to 70 billion 93 million U.S. dollars between February 20 and 27, 2004.
According to Central Bank's provisional statistics, total foreign exchange deposit accounts at banks was 70 billion 794 million U.S. dollars on February 20.
Foreign exchange deposits decreased 368 million U.S. dollars to 52 billion 836 million U.S. dollars in the same period.
Total internal foreign exchange deposits decreased 337 million U.S. dollars to 50 billion 238 million U.S. dollars while external foreign exchange deposits decreased 31 million U.S. dollars to 2 billion 598 million U.S. dollars in the same period.
Meanwhile, total foreign exchange deposits at the interbank market increased 88 million U.S. dollars to 664 million U.S. dollars.
Foreign exchange deposits with letter of credit and super foreign exchange accounts decreased 323 million U.S. dollars to 16 billion 934 million U.S. dollars as of March 5.
