LEFKOSA - Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot delegations convened on Wednesday in the 13th session of the negotiation process, which started on February 19 to find a fair and lasting solution to the Cyprus issue till May 1 on the basis of the plan of United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan.
The delegations headed by President Rauf Denktas of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and Greek Cypriot leader Tassos Papadopoulos convened at the Conference Center in Lefkosa's buffer zone.
United Nations (U.N.) Secretary General Kofi Annan's Special Envoy to Cyprus Alvaro de Soto is also participating in the 13th meeting which takes place in the buffer zone.
Denktas did not make a statement prior to the meeting.
Turkish side will express its view about foreign judges to take place in interim supreme court in the meeting, and sides will complete the process of exchange of reciprocal documents in this 13th meeting.
Two sides had set the date of referendum to be held in the island as April 20 in the 12th meeting held on Tuesday.
Turkish side had presented a document on property and bizonality in yesterday's meeting while the Greek Cypriot side insisted that the territory to be given to them after an agreement was reached should be transferred to the U.N. since the first day of the negotiations.
Sides had long discussions on transition process in yesterday's meeting.
In Tuesday's meeting, two sides discussed the place of temporary and permanent buildings of the central state and agreed that this issue should be taken up in a meeting to be held by the concerned committees of the two sides.
