LONDON/ANKARA - Turkey has become a major center for mergers and take overs, according to several reports by international finance institutions such as Goldman Sachs, Thomson Financial and Ernst&Young.
Turkey has been one the most favorite growing markets around the globe since 2005 with its far-reaching European Union reforms, better macro-economic outlook, dynamic markets and highly qualified work force especially in the banking sector.
Reports also indicate that mergers and take overs in Turkey will continue at a rising trend with foreigners investing in telecommunications, finance, real estate, energy, construction and media sectors.
In 2006 size of mergers and take overs in Turkey reached some 19 billion USD.
