Turkey Agrees On Preferential Trade With 18 Muslim Countries, Tuzmen

ANKARA - Turkey has reached an accord on preferential trade with 18 member countries of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), State Minister Kursad Tuzmen told the A.A.
"Three-day meetings between technical committees last week in Ankara reached an agreement on 'Origin Rules' and also discussed lifting non-tariff barriers, an important step which would strengthen free trade between OIC countries," Tuzmen said.
Tuzmen added that member countries were set to sign the official document on the agreement in Ankara in September.
"When the agreement went into effect it would soon double our trade volume with OIC members and boost our exports to these countries," Tuzmen said.
