HATAY - Unity must be maintained against the games played on Turkey, Republican People's Party (CHP) chairman Deniz Baykal said on Saturday.
During his party's mass meeting in southern city of Hatay, Baykal noted that the general elections that would be held one month later would determine Turkey's destiny.
Stating that they were aware of the problems in and around the country, he indicated, "we are also aware of the games planned for Turkey. There is need for continuation of unity in such an atmosphere."
"Explosives are brought from there, terrorists come from there, Iraq. We are friends of Iraqi people and we want to get on with them. But terror is sent from there. We will not close our eyes to this matter," Baykal stated.
