NEWCASTLE - Newcastle`s Turkish international midfielder Emre said Monday that he would be committing his future to the Premiership club.
The 26-year-old had reportedly been targetted by his former club Galatasaray and Fenerbahce in his native Turkey, along with German giants Bayern Munich.
But Emre said: "I`m very happy and not thinking about leaving this club.
"I know that all Turkish newspapers will write my name on the headlines during the transfer window. But even though I got serious offers from Galatasaray and Fenerbahce, I want to continue my career in England.
"I will stay at Newcastle and I have great respect for new coach Sam Allardyce."
Emre joined Newcaslte from Inter Milan for 3.8 million pounds in 2005 and has played 63 times for the team.
Meanwhile, Paris St Germain defender David Rozehnal arrived on Tyneside on Monday with a view to completing a move to Newcastle.
The 26-year-old Czech international was at St James` Park to hold talks and undergo a medical.
Allardyce hopes to be able to tie up what would be his third summer signing within 24 hours and take the first step towards rebuilding his defence.
