ANKARA - Turgay Kiran, the Chairman of the Turkish-French Trade Association said on Monday that French businessmen had many projects to make investment in Turkey.
Issuing a written statement, Kiran said that France was aware of the strategic importance and potential of Turkey, which was an EU candidate country, and that they evaluated Turkey as a bridge in respect of their investments in the Mediterranean, Middle East and Russia. Kiran said that such kind of opportunities should be benefited well.
Kiran said that ''France is ranked the fifth among foreign investors in Turkey and it is the first in respect of last 20 years' total investment amount. There are more than 250 French companies in Turkey proving the belief of French businessmen in Turkey. French entrepreneurs are interested in investing in Turkey and they closely monitor the privatization activities. I see that they are impressed by the recovery of the Turkish economy and installation of economic and political stability.''
