Customs Guards Confiscate 46 Kg Heroin In Derekoy

DEREKOY - Customs guards confiscated on Saturday 46 kilograms of heroin at Derekoy Customs Gate of northwestern Kirklareli province.
Customs guards searched a car driven by a Bulgarian citizen at Derekoy Customs Gate and seized 46 kilograms of heroin hidden in the car.
The Bulgarian citizen wanted to leave Turkey for Bulgaria.
Bulgarian driver, who was detained, told police that he wanted to bring the heroin from Kumburgaz, Istanbul to Bulgaria.
Another Bulgarian citizen who was also in the car was taken into custody.
An investigation into drug smuggling is under way.
