Ankara Proposes Help To Iraq For Treatment Of Injured People After Attacks In Baghdad And Karbala

ANKARA - Ankara proposed help on Thursday to Iraqi officials for undertaking the treatment of Iraqi people who were injured in the attacks launched in Baghdad and Karbala.
The proposal takes place in the condolence message which Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul has sent to Iraq Governing Council member Abdulaziz al-Hekim, Iraq's Shiites spiritual leader Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani and Iraqi Governing Council Chairman Mohammad Bahr-ul Ulum after the attacks in the region.
The message said Ankara was ready to make every type of assistance and proposed help for the treatment of injured people and added if requested, people could be brought to Turkey by plane.
Iraqi officials are positive towards the proposal of Ankara and they conveyed that they could give priority especially to the treatment of injured children.
Diplomatic sources said that Ankara was ready for the transfer and treatment of injured people and was waiting for the response of Iraqi officials.
