ANKARA - Foreign exchange deposit accounts at banks with letter of credit and super foreign exchange accounts decreased 922 million U.S. dollars to 70 billion 794 million U.S. dollars between February 13 and 20, 2004.
According to Central Bank's provisional statistics, total foreign exchange deposit accounts at banks was 71 billion 716 million U.S. dollars on February 13.
Foreign exchange deposits decreased 781 million U.S. dollars to 53 billion 204 million U.S. dollars in the same period.
Total internal foreign exchange deposits decreased 806 million U.S. dollars to 50 billion 575 million U.S. dollars while external foreign exchange deposits increased 25 million U.S. dollars to 2 billion 629 million U.S. dollars in the same period.
Meanwhile, total foreign exchange deposits at the interbank market decreased 78 million U.S. dollars to 576 million U.S. dollars.
Foreign exchange deposits with letter of credit and super foreign exchange accounts decreased 334 million U.S. dollars to 17 billion 257 million U.S. dollars as of February 27.
