ANKARA - U.S. State Undersecretary for Political Affairs Marc Grossman cancelled on Wednesday his visit to Turkey.
Sources said that Grossman, who was expected to come from Amman to Ankara, excluded Turkey from his tour to the region due to a technical failure in his plane.
Grossman will proceed from Jordan to Belgium.
U.S. sources said that it would take time to repair the technical failure of the plane.
Noting that Grossman had appointments in Belgium on Thursday afternoon, U.S. sources said that therefore, Grossman could pay a visit to Turkey on a later date.
The same sources had earlier stated that Grossman, who was expected to be in Ankara on Wednesday evening, would come to Ankara on Thursday morning due to a technical failure in his plane.
