ANKARA - The State Institute of Statistics (DIE) announced on Wednesday that annual inflation became 9.14 percent in wholesale prices and 14.28 percent in consumer prices in February of 2004.
Wholesale prices rose by 1.64 percent and consumer prices increased by 0.55 percent in February compared to prices of the previous month.
In the first two months of the year, inflation rates became 4.31 percent in wholesale prices and 1.29 percent in consumer prices.
According to 12-month averages as of February of 2004, annual inflation rate was 21.49 percent in wholesale prices and 23.21 percent in consumer prices.
Price increase in the private sector of manufacturing industry which is called core inflation rate became 0.1 percent in February.
