U.N. Undersecretary General For Political Affairs Participates In Eighth Session Of Cyprus Talks

LEFKOSA - The United Nations Undersecretary General for Political Affairs Sir Kieran Prendergast also participated in the eighth session of Cyprus talks between the delegations headed by Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Rauf Denktas and Greek Cypriot leader Tassos Papadopoulos on Wednesday.
Prendergast noted down the attitudes of sides.
Prendergast will meet with Denktas and Papadopoulos today.
Papadopoulos had a negative attitude in today's session and did not accept any of the proposals of the Turkish side.
Negative attitude of Papadopoulos caused uneasiness in Turkish side.
Sources said that Papadopoulos pursued delaying tactics to have U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan fill in the blanks.
