LEFKOSA - The delegations headed by TRNC President Rauf Denktas and Greek Cypriot leader Tassos Papadopoulos met for the eighth time within the scope of Cyprus negotiations on Wednesday.
Denktas didn't speak to reporters while leaving his office for the meeting. TRNC Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Talat and TRNC Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Serdar Denktas who had meetings in Ankara on Tuesday also attended the meeting.
U.N. Under Secretary-General for Political Affairs Sir Kieran Prendergast is expected to attend today's meeting.
The Cyprus talks aiming to find a fair and viable solution to the Cyprus issue on the basis of the Annan plan by May 1, started on February 19.
U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan's Special Envoy to Cyprus Alvaro De Soto is participating in talks as observer.
