IZMIR - Travel Turkey Fair moves from Istanbul to Izmir and will be held in Izmir as of this year, said Basaran Ulusoy, President of the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies, on Monday.
A press briefing was held at Izmir`s Hilton Hotel to promote the Travel Turkey Fair on Monday. The press briefing was attended by Izmir Governor Cahit Kirac, Izmir Mayor Aziz Kocaoglu and CEO of the Izmir Chamber of Commerce (IZTO) Ekrem Demirtas.
"Izmir is the city for fairs and it deserves to host the Travel Turkey Fair. We have made a decision with our German partner Hannover Messe International to hold the Travel Turkey Fair in Izmir as of 2007," told Ulusoy.
"We will continue to expand the Travel Turkey Fair in Izmir. We have signed an eight-year contract with Hannover Messe for the Izmir fair. We will have promotional activities for the Izmir fair in Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Greece and Croatia and try to sell exhibition stands to these countries," stressed Ulusoy.
Travel Turkey Fair`s partner country in 2007 is Greece and the theme for this year is "Culture Tourism".
Travel Turkey Fair will take place in Izmir between December 13th-16th, 2007.
