ISTANBUL - The Fourth Meeting of the Investment Advisory Council began in Turkish commercial hub of Istanbul on Monday with a breakfast hosted by Turkish State Minister Ali Babacan in honor of members of the council.
After the breakfast in which participants will make presentations on Turkish economy, Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan will address the opening remarks of the meeting.
Erdogan is later expected to meet the members of the council.
Participants are to discuss initiatives launched in the last one year in order to rehabilitate the investment medium, and further steps to be taken within the following one year.
A final declaration will be released at the end of the meeting.
John Lipsky, the First Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and Shigeo Katsu, the Vice President of the World Bank for the Europe and Central Asia region, are participating in the meeting.
