ANKARA - Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul has said that welcoming of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Rauf Denktas with a number of motor vehicles in Ankara would not bother them, adding that Turkey is a democratic country so everyone can express his opinion.
Following his meeting with TRNC Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Talat and Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Serdar Denktas, Gul replied to questions of reporters.
Asked whether welcoming of Denktas with a big convoy in Ankara on March 4 would create a problem, Gul said that Turkey is a democratic country and any uneasiness is out of question, stressing that everybody has the right to express his opinions under laws.
Gul added that the European Union was seeking a method about the issue of derogations.
