ANKARA - State Minister Guldal Aksit met on Tuesday with World Bank Sector Manager for Social Protection Europe and Central Asia Region Michael Rutkowski and Turkey Directorate Human Resources Development Specialist John Innes.
Prior to the meeting, Aksit said that her ministry was responsible for many fields and stated that her ministry carried out many studies which could affect policies of the government.
Aksit said that they had also a task which aimed to prevent unemployment and develop employment and added that World Bank made many contributions to their studies.
Rutkowski said that they were ready to do their utmost and stated that World Bank presented support and assistance in many fields. Rutkowski added that the Bank extended support in retirement, social security funds, unemployment insurance, health insurance and other fields.
Innes said that they extended support in development of administration information system, institutional capacity and training personnel and noted that they attached importance to a service development program based on reduction in cost.
