ANKARA - Treasury conducted two auctions on Tuesday to sell 224-day bonds and 420-day debenture bonds.
In the first auction, the Treasury sold 1 quadrillion 867.1 trillion Turkish liras (TL) nominal-valued bonds while the total bid became 2 quadrillion 17 trillion TL. The net sale became 1 quadrillion 629.6 trillion TL.
The composite interest rate was 24.74 percent and the simple interest rate became 23.69 percent in 224-day bond auction.
Value date of 224-day bonds is March 3, 2004 and settlement is October 13, 2004.
In the second auction, the Treasury sold 2 quadrillion 544.8 trillion Turkish liras (TL) nominal-valued bonds while the total bid became 3 quadrillion 284.1 trillion TL. The net sale became 1 quadrillion 977.2 trillion TL.
The simple interest rate was 24.88 percent while the composite interest rate was 24.45 percent.
Value date of 420-day debenture bonds is March 3, 2004 and settlement is April 27, 2005.
Meanwhile, Treasury will repay 8.2 quadrillion Turkish liras in domestic debt and 5 million U.S. dollars in foreign debt this week.
