PARIS - Justice Minister Cemil Cicek said on Monday that they, as the government, supported young Turkish judges' project on formation of an organization including ombudsmen to find solutions to environmental problems in European countries.
Justice Ministers of Turkey, France, Britain, Spain, Germany and Hungary and young judges attended a meeting organized on Monday by initiative of French Justice Minister Dominique Perben. 20 young judges from Turkey also attended the meeting.
Young jurists from the six European countries presented their projects about the new regulations in fields of ''highway security'', ''capital movement and rights of employees'', ''new technologies'' and ''environment.''
Tekin Korkmaz, who delivered a speech on behalf of Turkish judges, said that solution of environmental problems required long trials and stated that they proposed formation of an ''organization of mediation for environment'' (including ombudsmen) to get results rapidly.
Cicek said that they supported the project which was presented by Turkish judges.
Following the meeting, Cicek said that the meeting was very good and successful.
