Prendergast Due In Cyprus

LEFKOSA - U.N. Undersecretary-General for Political Affairs Kieran Prendergast will visit Cyprus on Tuesday to hold consultations with Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot sides.
Prendergast will make assessments on Cyprus negotiations during his meetings on the island. Prendergast will inform U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan about negotiations when he returned to New York.
Kieran Prendergast is expected to separately meet with Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Rauf Denktas and Greek Cypriot leader Tassos Papadopoulos.
