LEFKOSA - Some political parties and institutions which were organized under the name of ''National Resistance Movement'' in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) protested on Saturday the Annan Plan.
The movement objected Annan Plan with its current form and they presented their support and confidence to TRNC President Rauf Denktas.
Addressing the crowd, Denktas said that nobody could take their land by force and added that they, as Turkish Cypriots who say 'we are an inseparable part of Turkey and Turkishness', were open to Greek Cypriots who say 'we are a part of Hellenism' to make a balanced agreement.
Denktas stressed that however they were not open to initiatives which would give Cyprus to Greek Cypriots by hiding behind fake expressions.
Denktas said that they started to negotiate Annan Plan by taking desires of people into consideration and after getting the guarantee of Turkey. He called on the people to ''be comfortable and awake.''
Noting that he explained everyday what happened at the talks, Denktas wanted those statements to be followed carefully and to be spread, thus people would decide in a better way to say yes or no on the day of referendum. Denktas said that he was making statements everyday and he asked people to evaluate the statements well.
