Turkish Police Seize 109.3 Kg Heroin In Operations

HAKKARI/DOGUBAYAZIT - Turkish police seized 109.3 kg heroin in separate operations launched in eastern cities of Hakkari and Agri, it was reported on Tuesday.
Acting on a tip off, the police launched an operation and confiscated 27.3 kg heroin hidden in secret parts of a vehicle on main Hakkari-Van highway.
2 people were arrested in connection with the heroin.
In a separate operation in Gurbulak Border Gate in Dogubayazit town of eastern city of Agri, police seized 82 kg heroin after stopping a truck heading towards Ukraine.
The truck driver was detained in connection with the heroin.
An investigation is underway.
