EDIRNE - Security forces intercepted 152 migrants in northwestern city of Edirne and Aegean city of Aydin.
Security forces intercepted 54 immigrants of Moroccan, Algerian, Iraqi, Palestinian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi and Afghan origin in the border patrols in Meric and Enez districts of Edirne.
The immigrants were trying to sneak into Greece, sources said.
On the other hand, in Didim district of Aydin, security forces captured 28 immigrants of Palestinian, Somalian, Mauritanian, Rwandan, Ugandan, and Nigerian origin as well as one immigrant from Ivory Coast. The immigrants who were trying to sneak into Greece illegally will be deported following legal proceedings.
Meanwhile in another operation in Edirne, security forces intercepted 70 immigrants of Palestinian, Iraqi, Somalian, Mauritanian and Georgian origin.
Security forces also arrested 1 Turkish citizen in connection with human trafficking.
