ISTANBUL - Turkey`s relations with the European Union steered back on course after the March opening of the chapter on enterprise and industrial policy and the successful completion of the screening process on ten other chapters, Georg Boomgaarden, an undersecretary with the German Foreign Ministry, said Tuesday.
"Ultimately, we do believe that three more chapters can be opened during Germany`s EU term presidency," Boomgaarden told an Istanbul conference on European energy security.
"No one should feel concerned over the continuation of the negotiations membership as there is a well-defined procedure on the issue," Boomgaarden added.
"Turkey will join the Union after it fulfills conditions," he said.
