-QUALITY MANAGEMENT SHOULD BE A PART OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION, YALCINDAG
ISTANBUL - Quality management should be a part of the reform process in Turkish public administration, said Chairwoman of the Turkish Industrialists` & Businessmen`s Association (TUSIAD) Arzuhan Dogan Yalcindag, on Tuesday.
The "Winners` Conference 2007" co-sponsored by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) and Quality Association (KalDer) took place in Istanbul on Tuesday.
Delivering a keynote speech at the conference, Yalcindag indicated that the competitiveness of countries depend on the competitiveness of their establishments. "Institutional perfection, quality of products and services determine the competitiveness of establishments," told Yalcindag.
Yalcindag stressed that the National Quality Movement introduced by KalDer in 1998 has contributed to better management not only in private sector but also in NGOs and public administration. She added that the more groups participate in the National Quality Movement, the more rich the quality of life will be in Turkey.
