ANKARA - General Staff Secretary-General Sabri Demirezen said on Friday that Turkish Armed Forces always supported finding a lasting and fair solution to Cyprus question.
Speaking at a news briefing in General Staff headquarters, Gen. Demirezen said views of General Staff were conveyed in Cankaya Summit meeting and in the National Security Council (NSC) meetings.
Demirezen said they presented a document on February 15, 2004 to Prime Ministry about their proposals and reasons.
Recalling that Cyprus talks had started on February 19, Gen. Demirezen said, ''we closely follow the talks that have been carried out.''
