ANKARA - Turkey will take part in 119 tourism fairs which will be organized in various countries this year.
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism will promote and market the tourism potential of Turkey in 119 tourism fairs which will be held in 46 countries.
The Ministry will attend seven big fairs in the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Germany, Russia, United Arab Emirates, and Britain in 2004.
The Ministry which started this year's tourism marathon with Utrecht Tourism Fair held in the Netherlands on January 13, later attended Madrid Future Tourism Fair in Spain and Milan Tourism Fair in Italy.
Between 12-16 March, the Ministry will take part in Berlin Tourism Fair in cooperation with the private sector, in Moscow Tourism Fair between 24-27 March and in another tourism fair which will be held in Dubai between 4-7 May. The Ministry will represent Turkey in the World Trade Fair in London in November. Together with the private sector, the Culture and Tourism Ministry will promote Turkey's tourism potential in 58 tourism fairs which will be organized in various countries of the world in 2004. Turkey will also attend Birmingham Fair in Britain and in Scandinavian Boat Show in Sweden which start today. Tomorrow, the Ministry will be in Nuremberg Tourism Fair in Germany.
The Ministry which will take a break in its tourism fair marathon as of mid-May till September, will start attending the fairs in September.
