Denktas Meets With U.N. Secretary General's Special Envoy To Cyprus De Soto

LEFKOSA - Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Rauf Denktas met on Wednesday with the United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan's Special Envoy to Cyprus Alvaro de Soto after fourth-day session of the Cyprus talks was postponed to Thursday.
De Soto told reporters after the meeting that they had taken up essential issues and the talks would continue tomorrow.
Denktas said that they gave more satisfactory information to de Soto about the document of changes that Turkish Cypriot side had presented yesterday.
Noting that they answered to the questions of de Soto, Denktas said that their meeting was a preparation for tomorrow.
Upon a question regarding the problem stemming from the European Union (EU) experts' existence in the U.N. delegation which participated in the talks, Denktas said that the problem was solved.
