Constitutional Amendment Package - First Round Of Voting Completed

ANKARA - Turkish Parliamentary General Assembly completed on Monday debates and the first round of voting on Constitutional amendment law which was earlier vetoed by Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer.
According to the law, general elections will be held once in every four year.
At least one third (184) of total number of MPs will be required in all sessions and elections at the parliament.
President will be elected with popular vote, and with 5+5 system.
According to the law, current president will continue his/her mission until the new president will start term in office.
The second round of voting will be held on May 31st.
