KOCAELI - The 29th International Symposium of Excavations, Surveys & Archaeometry began in the northwestern Turkish city of Kocaeli on Monday.
Taking the floor in the symposium, Orhan Duzgun, chief of Cultural Assets and Museums Department at Turkish Culture & Tourism Ministry, said that they were working hard in regard to protection of cultural heritage in the country and bringing back Turkey`s cultural assets abroad to the country.
On the other hand, Prof. Dr. Hayat Aykanat stated that an archeological inventory should be formed in Turkey.
A total of 303 communiques will be presented during the symposium that will end on June 1st.
