Bulgarian Parliament Speaker Gerdjikov Visits Parliamentary Commissions Of Foreign Affairs And Adjustment With E.U.

ANKARA - Bulgarian Parliament Speaker Ognyan Gerdjikov visited on Monday Parliamentary Commissions of Foreign Affairs and Adjustment with EU.
Gerdjikov, who is currently in Turkey as the official guest of Parliament Speaker Bulent Arinc, and the accompanying parliamentary delegation, firstly visited Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Commission Chairman Mehmet Dulger. After the meeting, Dulger said that ''we've discussed routine issues. We have always got issues to discuss with Bulgaria.''
Later the Bulgarian delegation visited Yasar Yakis, Chairman of Parliamentary Commission for Adjustment with EU. Speaking in the meeting, Yakis said that he was very pleased with broadening of relations between Turkey and Bulgaria. Yakis said that the relations of Turkey with Bulgaria would continue also within the scope of NATO and EU, adding that ''we've extended great support to Bulgaria's NATO membership, and we believe its membership will contribute significantly to the peace in the Balkans.''
Gerdjikov said in his part that membership to EU was not an easy issue, adding that Bulgarian Parliament exerted great effort to this end, but he believed Bulgaria would be successful in that road map.
