ADANA - During the 14th Golden Cocoon Film Festival to be held in the southern city of Adana from June 4th to 11th, several movies from the Far East, South America, Iran and the United States will be screened.
Releasing a statement, Golden Cocoon Film Festival Center said on Monday that movies including Branko Schmidt`s "Melon Route", Kim Rossi Stuart`s "Anche Libero Va Bene", Jean-Pierre Ameris`s "Je m`appelle Elisabeth" and "All The Invisible Children" by Mehdi Charef, Emir Kusturica, Spike Lee, Kátia Lund, Jordan Scott, Ridley Scott, Stefano Veneruso and John Woo will be shown in the festival.
Mani Haghighi`s "Men At Work" (Iran), Byambasuren Davaa`s "Cave of the Yellow Dog" (Mongolia), Jia Zhangke`s "Still Life" (China), Joon-ho Bong`s "The Host" (South Korea) and Ariel Rotter`s "El Otro" (Argentina) would also be screened.
On the other hand, leading Turkish director Erden Kiral, and prominent actress Selma Guneri and actor Bulent Kayabas will be presented with "Lifetime Achievement Award".
So far, 23 feature films have applied to compete in the national film contest. 12 of them will be chosen in the coming days.
