Black Sea Ring Highway Convoy In Istanbul

ISTANBUL - The convoy of trucks, which set off from Belgrade on April 19th to promote the Black Sea ring highway to be built with contributions from the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) countries, arrived in Istanbul on Monday.
Speaking at a ceremony that was held at the entrance of Dolmabahce Palace to welcome the convoy of 12 trucks, BSEC Secretary General Leonidas Chrysanthopoulos said that the convoy travelled several Black Sea countries in order to introduce Black Sea ring highway to the people. Chrysanthopoulos stated that there was a good communication among drivers from 12 BSEC member countries during the journey, underlining that the project reached its goal.
The convoy made stopovers in Albania, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia. It entered Turkey from Georgia on May 22nd.
On the other hand, BSEC heads of state and government will promulgate a book and a movie about the journey of the convoy on June 25th and 26th after it finishes the trip.
