Alara Agriculture Exports Reach 45 Million USD

TARSUS - Turkey`s biggest grower of cherries and black figs Alara Agriculture Company`s exports in 2006 reached 45 million USD, said company sources on Monday.
Alara owns vast gardens in southern cities of Mersin`s Tarsus town and Adana`s Ceyhan town.
Aside from cherries and black figs, Alara also exports nectarines and apricots.
Alara`s goal in 2007 is to reach an exports figure of 60 million USD, said a company executive.
