Death Toll Increases To Seven In Flood Disaster In Agri

AGRI - Death toll increased to seven in the flood disaster in the eastern Turkish city of Agri, sources said on Monday.
Flood waters triggered by torrential rains carried away ten people in the villages of Ugurtas, Kacmaz, Karlica and Demirkapi on Sunday. Five people including three children died instantly.
Search-and-rescue teams recovered bodies of two people earlier in the day, taking the tally to seven.
Meanwhile, Agri Governor Halil Ibrahim Akpinar said that efforts were under way to find three missing people.
Flood waters heavily damaged more than 150 houses. Some of those were totally demolished.
On the other hand, body of a woman who was carried away by flood waters in the eastern city of Van, was found. Death toll in the flood in Van increased to three.
