Yakis: We Consider As Certain That Turkey Will Be Given A Date In December To Start Full Membership Negotiations

ANKARA - Yasar Yakis, Chairman of the Parliamentary Commission for Adjustment with European Union (EU), said on Monday that they considered as certain that Turkey would be given a date in December to start full membership negotiations with the EU.
Yakis and Turkish-German Interparliamentary Friendship Group Chairman Ahmet Yasar met with a group of German parliamentarians in the Parliament.
Yakis, who made a brief statement after the meeting, stressed that Turkish-German relations gradually stepped up.
Yasar in his part said he was pleased to see German parliamentarians in the Parliament, stating that 125 Turkish parliamentarians were members of the friendship group.
