ANKARA - Bulgarian Parliament Speaker Ognyan Gerdjikov arrived in Turkey on Sunday as the official guest of Parliament Speaker Bulent Arinc.
Gerdjikov will start his official meetings with Turkish officials on Monday.
Gerdjikov will meet with Parliament Speaker Arinc. Following their tete-a-tete meeting, Arinc and Gerdjikov will preside a meeting between Turkish and Bulgarian delegations.
Turkey-Bulgaria Friendship Group Chairman Ibrahim Kosdere and members of the group will also attend the meeting.
Gerdjikov is also scheduled to meet with Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Deniz Baykal, Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Commission Chairman Mehmet Dulger and Parliamentary Commission for Adjustment to the European Union Chairman Yasar Yakis.
Gerdjikov will also be received by President Ahmet Necdet Sezer.
Gerdjikov will visit western province of Izmir on Tuesday. He will also visit Istanbul and depart from Turkey on Wednesday.
