24th International Trabzon Half Marathon Run

TRABZON - The 24th International Trabzon Half Marathon organized jointly by the Trabzon Municipality and Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, was run on Sunday.
Sources told the A.A correspondent that 153 marathon runners from Turkey, Ukraine, Moldova, Russia, Bulgaria, Spain, Germany and Iran participated in the event.
In men's, Ahmet Yavuz of Turkey came on the first place. He was followed by Satilmis Atmaca of Turkey and Yuri Hychin of Ukraine.
In women's, Milka Mihailova of Bulgaria was ranked first while Svetlana Shepelava of Bulgaria was ranked second and Natalia Cherkez of Moldova was ranked third.
Yury Tchisov of Russia won men's event while Ebru Kavaklioglu of Turkey won women's event of the last year's half marathon.
Winners of the half marathon were awarded with 2 thousand U.S. dollars prize.
