KABUL - NATO's Senior Civilian Representative Hikmet Cetin in Afghanistan has said, ''I have been watching activities of Turkish businessmen in Afghanistan with a great appreciation since the day I started my mission.''
Cetin met on Sunday with directors of the Turkish firms operating in Afghanistan.
Speaking at the meeting, Cetin said, ''as a representative of the NATO, I am proud of Turkish labor force in Afghanistan. I have been watching activities of Turkish businessmen in Afghanistan with a great appreciation since the day I started my mission.''
''As you know, Afghanistan has serious problems of economy, health and security. An international conference will be held after March in which way of resolving these problems will be discussed. Representatives of international finance organizations will attend the conference,'' he said.
Cetin added, ''a successful fight against Taliban forces depends on economic welfare of Afghan people.''
