KILIS - State Minister Kursad Tuzmen has said that they would prioritize efforts to reduce unemployment in 2004.
Tuzmen visited Governor Aslan Kutuk of southeastern province of Kilis on Saturday.
Speaking at the meeting, Tuzmen said, ''we will prioritize the efforts of reducing unemployment in 2004. We are planning to provide our investors with several opportunities of reducing unemployment.''
''We will sweep anti-personnel land-mines and open those fields to organic agriculture for economic development of Kilis. We believe that it would contribute to development of border trade with Syria. We attribute importance to trade with neighboring countries in regard to development of our border cities. We aim to sign free trade agreements to remove economic borders with neighboring countries. An important process has been made between Turkey and Syria to this end,'' he said.
Tuzmen added he believed that Turkey and Syria would create a significant development synergy by combining their commercial and industrial capabilities.
