IZMIR - Aegean Army Commander Gen. Hursit Tolon has said that he hoped a fair, lasting and peaceful solution would be found in Cyprus.
Under the Aegean Army Command's 2004 Year Program on Supporting Social Development, a ceremony took place on Saturday in Damlacik village in Kemalpasa town on western province of Izmir to which the command extended support in fields of education, health and public works.
Replying to a question about Cyprus, Gen. Tolon said, ''sides show good will in talks. I hope and wish that a fair, lasting and peaceful solution in Cyprus would be found.''
