Turkish Director Akin's Film Screened In Cannes

PARIS - Turkish director Fatih Akin's film "Yasamin Kiyisinda (The Edge of Heaven)" was screened in the Cannes Film Festival.
The cast and the director were in attendance at the gala premier of the film.
The film, a Turkish-German co-production, received a standing ovation from the audience.
Meanwhile, Akin was invited to the World Film Foundation as member. Ten Turkish movies to be chosen by Akin will be restored by the foundation.
