COLOGNE - Turkish company Vestel, a consumer electronics producer, has reached 25 percent market share in Europe, producing 3.5 million digital receivers of the total 14 million receivers sold in Europe.
Showcasing its products in Germany's Anga Cable Trade Fair For Cable, Satellite and Multimedia, Vestel's Deputy Chairman of Executive Board Turan Erdogan said they are the market leader in Britain which is one of the largest markets in Europe.
"Vestel produced 59 percent of digital receivers sold in Britain in 2006. We also introduced our latest product digital TV recorder to British market in June 2006. We are an outstanding player as a technology producer in Turkish and world market," he said.
