ANKARA - Bulgarian Parliament Speaker Ognyan Gerdjikov will come to Turkey on Sunday night as the official guest of Parliament Speaker Bulent Arinc.
Gerdjikov will start his official meetings with Turkish officials on Monday.
After visiting the Mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the Founder of the modern and secular Republic of Turkey, Gerdjikov will meet with Parliament Speaker Arinc.
Following their tete-a-tete meeting, Arinc and Gerdjikov will preside a meeting between Turkish and Bulgarian parliamentary delegations.
Turkey-Bulgaria Friendship Group Chairman Ibrahim Kosdere and members of the group will also attend the meeting.
Gerdjikov is also scheduled to meet with opposing Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Deniz Baykal, Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Commission Chairman Mehmet Dulger and Parliamentary Commission for Adjustment to the European Union Chairman Yasar Yakis.
He will be received by President Ahmet Necdet Sezer.
Gerdjikov will visit western province of Izmir on Tuesday.
He is expected to depart from Turkey after visiting Istanbul on Wednesday.
